I bought the X100 four months ago and I really do love it. The image quality is really excellent, and it is fun to use, although it is still glitchy, weird and confusing at times.
I wrote a detailed review with full-size samples pictures at:

In short, I love the output from this camera, but it is often a PAIN to use. And the build quality is disappointing in many ways - the control wheel, ok button and hotshoe are all poor.
Great image quality
Fantastic colour output
Dynamic range
Metering is great
White balance is very intelligent
Build quality isn't amazing. The control dial and ok button are disappointing when the rest of the camera is so good. It is frustrating to use. Menu options are nonsensical. Macro mode is very annoying to initiate.
Brand new - took 5 photos and found that a thin blue line appeared on the screen about 1/3 of the way across from the left hand side. Pulled the image up on my PC and ite looked even worse, and was visible on the printed photograph - not impressed seeing I won't be going to this location again should have bought a postcard instead. Luckily it was repalced under warranty
Features and ease of use are at a reasonable price
May have wasted my money based on it's performance so far.
I picked up the X10 in March of 2012... after years of owning various different cameras, including full frame, APSC, and more lately a series of 4/3 EVIL cameras... I was finding the realty was lugging all the extra "stuff" around prompted me to look "smaller" and hence easier to carry. I took a serious look at the Sony 5n as well as the Lumix GX1 before considering any cameras with sensors less than 4/3's in size.... I had the Lumix GF1 with a 20mm 1.7, which is hard to beat in so far as qua

ive used it a feu times it seems good the shutter rate is quick you can go from off to paking photos in seconds i love it the only problem i have with it is you have no controal over the focus
quick shutter time fast to turn on
no control over focus
S4200 bought specifically as an easy to handle, simple to use, point and shoot unit, for an "non-photographer" lady needing to complement a failing memory with reminders of times fast going by. I must say that all the features required are up to expectation, and on early results the pictures will do the job well with surprisingly good printed and uploaded output.
I tried it out also but found Manual setting give better (excellent) results. As a dedicated SLR photographer I found most of the "

Just got the camera a couple of weeks ago and only glanced at the manual.
Did a "learn-as-you-go" thing at the Jacksonville zoo last weekend and discovered a few nice surprises. The best surprise was the Panorama feature. I love the way it lets you setup left to right or right to left shooting, but the best part is the target and crosshairs function. When you line up the crosshairs and target perfectly, the camera automaitically snaps the next picture for the sequence.
OK, now that I did the tri

I love it. I've been using it for a day now and i love it. Has lots of features. I will be using the panorama, sport mode and continous shooting mode most. Easy to use. I've been seeing bad reviews on this camera but you need to know how to manage a camera and it's settings. Panorama mode could have been better by taking at least 5 photos not 3! I also saw that it gets a bit warm when you used for about 10mins or more without a break. Well, don't have any more criticsm, offcourse you get what yo

Have had my X10 for a couple of months and overall I'm very happy with it. Image quality is great with rich colours and some useful options for black and white. Build quality superb! It took some time getting used to using a manual zoom on such a small camera but now it feels quick and responsive.
Its instruction manual is rather lacking and I find myself wondering what all the adjustments in the menu are for..I still feel I'm not getting the best out of it.
We could do with a good handbook!
Great build quality
Good Handling
Superb images out of camera
Nice design
LCD screen could be better
Complicated camera - not always clear what's going on!
On switch sometimes misfunctions
